There are more than a hundred step-by-step help articles within Focus, accessed via the Help Assistant, which cover a variety of topics. Whether it’s a quick reminder on how to carry out a task that you haven’t done for a while, or a broader overview whilst attempting something in Focus for the very first time.
This guide will look at:
Select the ‘question mark’ icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Once open, a number of help articles will be suggested. The Help Assistant is intuitive, so the articles will vary depending on where you are in Focus and what type of User you are. For example, if you are a supervisor on the Rota page when you open the Help Assistant, the articles you see will help you understand the basics of how Rotas work and how to build them.
As you move between different pages in Focus, the list of help articles will change accordingly.
If you see an article in the suggested list that seems to match what you are looking for, simply select it. The chosen article will open.
Select the ‘expand’ arrows in the top left corner of the Help Assistant. This increases the size of the article, making it easier to read. To reduce the size, simply select the arrows again.
Select the ‘open in new tab’ icon in the top right corner of the Help Assistant while your chosen article is open. This will then open the article in full screen mode in its own tab.
Should you wish, you can search for other articles whilst here by selecting ‘Knowledge Base Home’.
Select the ‘back’ arrow icon in the bottom right corner of the Help Assistant.
If you can’t immediately find the article that you are looking for in the list, type a few key words into the Search box at the bottom of the Help Assistant. The list will then suggest articles accordingly.
Select the ‘open in new tab’ icon in the top right corner when the Help Assistant is showing the list of articles. This will open the Focus Knowledge Base homepage, allowing you to search all available articles.
Select the ‘close’ icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
If a help article is open and you navigate to another page in Focus, the article will remain open, allowing you to keep reading as you follow any instructions. You can close and reopen the Help Assistant at any time and it will remember where you last were (ie. if an article was in expanded view or not).
If there are words in the Search box and you navigate to another page in Focus, the list of help articles will not change as usual.
