Focus Wave allows employees to clock in and out using their mobile phone or other hand-held device. This wireless technology works in much the same way as making contactless payments with your phone. By simply holding your phone or device close to a strategically placed Focus Wave tag, all clocking information is recorded, removing the need to carry swipe cards, fobs or similar items.
This guide will answer the following questions:

How do I clock in or out?
Log in to the Focus Self Service app on your phone/device.
Choose 'IN' or 'OUT' as required.
Select 'Focus Wave'.
Hold your phone/device close to the Focus Wave tag until you are informed of a successful clocking. Depending on your settings, this could be an audible beep and/or vibration followed by a ‘Clocking Successful’ message on your screen.
It’s as simple as that! There are instructions on the Focus Wave tag itself in case you get stuck.
Why was my clocking unsuccessful?
Here are the reasons why, in certain circumstances, things might not go to plan.
You didn’t hold your phone/device close enough to the Focus Wave tag.
You don’t have permission to clock with that specific Focus Wave tag and received an ‘Unable to clock’ message on your phone/device.
You don’t have NFC enabled on your phone/device.
