With the release of version 2.2 of the Self Service App, you can now send push notifications to your team members when an Absence Request is actioned.
This guide will look at:
Everyone has the right to control how much their phone bothers them. As they launch the new version of the Focus app for the first time, your team will be asked if they will allow Notifications.
Note: Employees may get asked for this permission even if you have no intention of activating Push Notifications. This is controlled by the Apple and Google App Stores and it is because the potential to use Push has been added to the app.
Like with any other app, users have the ability to change their mind at any time. To Enable or Disable notifications, direct your team to the Settings of their device.
Once all requirements for Notifications have been met - they are turned on at the System level, the Self Service Profile level, and the individual user has granted permission on their device - then Self Service app users will receive a Notification each time an Absence Request is actioned.
There is no other action required. All Absence Requests, Granted or Refused by any User who has permission to do so, will generate a Notification to the Employee.
Action holiday requests from your team.
There are a couple of different ways to request time off - these are the quickest.
In order to ensure that you have enough cover in place, you may wish to set a minimum notice period that employees have to give when making absence requests.
